2012: Epic Meltdowns

Postby Sparty » Mon Dec 31, 2012 10:28 pm

No april fools.

Here are both the 2011 and 2012 quotes. I'll accept any late submissions and add them on. After finding 400 more screenshots to sort through I said screw it and didn't sort them.

2011:

Sparty's Random Tells:
These are the things I deal with at least on a weekly basis.

Our favourite, most well respected, nicest guild on the server:

What we don't have in quantity...well I started something new. I've opened up my bad app notebook. These socially inept people somehow made it through the interview process and found their way here. They are worth the read...try to understand that some conversations are missing, and that these went on for hours.

Forensics was a mage that applied, great previous history...but he was just so bad that we thought he might have bought the account, so we looked into it... and we found out how bad of a liar he was.

Wisp was a woman. I could just leave it at that, but somehow we got one of the crazy ones.

And last, but definitely not least...
Thoriden aka Lamis aka Retarian. He applied to us as Lamis, a dps warrior during naxx40. Came highly recommended, but he was really bad. Just bad. He asked me about applying 6 years later... I said..sure why not, forgive and forget. At best we might get a shaman out of it, at worst I'll have a little fun.

He is blatantly amused by it. Outright confesses it. Don't feel bad if he's intentionally prolonging it. ;p

The Wisp one was a window into a locus swarm of insanity, though. Good reads.

I actually log very little. I think you're pretty safe. The only one that was a little amusing was Thoriden, the other ones I was genuinely trying to help.

Apparently Sparty lost my 2011 quotebook submissions. Here they are:

Security Questions (these are all conversations I have with people who ask that I ginvite their alt to the guild)
Raiding
Story Time
Hmmmm
Misc
Officer

For context, in the bottom left screenshot on Misc, Sparty is talking about Mafia. On the first screenshot of Story Time, Loganis was returning mid-Firelands after a lengthy hiatus and the other officers were convincing him that there was an attunement (there wasn't).

Oaf's were better than the actual quotebook this year.

I sometimes created new alts just to see what security questions Oaf would throw at me.

Great quotes as always, and I'm glad there were a few hockey quotes thrown in there. Speaking of hockey, how about those gold medalists, eh Sparty?
