For fire spec, I think

The archweaver has a bit more crit I will double check the numbers tomarrow maybe you can get a bit more from int using the hit from the dagger over the sword.

The dagger is very slightly better so updating.

The dagger is BiS, unless you're a human (+1% hit for swords)

Should I keep her fire or go Frost/Arcane? She'll be using the Heroic Warstaff if/when I get one. Easier the rotation the better, she basically just kills mobs on the farm and does some isle stuff but is very, very casual. I've kept her fire because it's fairly simple for her to remember, fireball until the flames then Inferno and Pyro. No CDs.

If you just want to farm stuff and do some fun things. Frost is the best spec due to a ton of crow control and slow they have. Technically arcane is the best spec for mage and somewhat the most complete spec among 3 for mage due to mana control mechanic. Therefore I don't suggest arcane at all for farming stuff. I'm not a fan of fire mage in middle gear because cc just hate me :p

Problem is, she won't use the crowd control. Like I said about fire, she honestly only uses fireball and pyroblast with the occasional IB mixed in when she remembers. Oh she uses mirror image sometimes too. heh

Fire for sure. Tell her about scorch and that she can use it while moving, which will let her kite without using CC.

Edit: I say fire over frost because part of frosts instant cast procs come from ticks from your mage bomb (which she isn't using), so it loses some of it's mobility there.

Just be prepared as the difference between have a good opener with trinket/tailoring procs and not is huge.
