To those not aware, I'm the mage class leader for Flame of Anduril.
The last 4-5 months of 2007 we suffered some fracturing/burnout/departures from our raiding pool.
As the new year came in, we were able to field a re-invigorated raid team and on the 20th of January we downed Kael. Since then, we've been on a bit of a roll for a 4 day-a-week guild (most of our members are South African, thus we raid mornings server-time...and so no Tuesdays due to maintenance). Just last week we downed Bloodboil and RoS leaving us ready for Mother. Sort of.
As you can imagine, moving through the entirety of MH and the first 6 bosses in BT over a 5,6 week period left us hurting(!!) for hearts of darkness.
To our rescue came Sparty.
Initially it was 30 hearts allowing us to field exactly 25 raiders. Due to our raiders, and those 30 hearts, we were successful in downing Mother on the first night's attempts.
Since then, we've received another 15 hearts allowing us to field a few others of the raid pool.
We at FoA cannot possibly express sufficiently our thanks to Sparty and the entire guild of Death Jesters. In addition to Sparty, i'd like to express a special thank you to Slugfoot as well.
If there is ever ANYTHING we at FoA can do to assist (in any way) DJ, we would be honored to repay, even in a small way, the incredible generosity and assistance provided by you all.
