READ THIS ENTIRE POST THOROUGHLY!

GENERAL RAIDING INFORMATION

Core hours: 11:30pm-> 2:00am EST (Aim to be outside the instance 15 minutes prior).
Raid Days: Friday/Saturday
Raid days will vary based on progression. At times we may raid 1-2 days a week when instances are on farm.

Our logs can be found at: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/guild/id/80 Please take a moment and see how you would compare to our current roster. Current logs for the spec you are applying for are required for your application to be processed. All classes are expected to be able to play the optimal class specs for each encounter.

LOOT
Our loot system is merit-based; make sure you've read over how it works using the menu. Applicants do at times get loot, but they should not be expecting any. Although raids are set to personal loot, we do trade items/mounts/pets/toys to the loot officer to be distributed based off our loot council's decisions.

6.) You MUST bring a positive attitude and want to succeed. Negative attitudes will not be tolerated.

RAIDING EXPECTATIONS
Below are the raiding expectations of Death Jesters raiders. Prior to applying, please ensure you read this over and are able to keep up with the expectations of a Death Jesters raider.

Before Raid
1. You should have a thorough knowledge of each of the encounters (whether during progression or farm) and our strats. This includes log research of encounters specific to your class and role, as well utilizing other resources (such as videos, streams, etc.). In addition, you should ask for questions and clarification regarding our strats and your role preferably prior to raid if you are unsure.
2. While we don't expect players to grind the newest grind all the time, you're expected to keep up with your peers and the weekly(reasonable) commitments.
3. You should be gemmed/enchanted/have necessary consumables/be repaired/transmogged/simmed/etc. prior to raid.
4. You should have all of the required addons up to date, as well as any WA’s for specific bosses and encounters installed.
5. You should also make sure that the Loot Spreadsheet is up to date and accurate, and include notes regarding % upgrade, Need/BiS items, relevant bosses, etc.
6. Prior to raid, you should be online and ready to raid at least 15 minutes before the raid start time. This includes being outside of the instance with Warmode off.

During Raid
1. You should be actively listening in Discord, and be able to effectively communicate in Discord. Leadership will have priority speaker.
2. You should be performing your duties as well as any assigned roles. If you are ever unsure about a strat or your assigned roles, you should ask so that you prevent a possible raid wipe. Be able to self-evaluate, self-assess, and take personal responsibility for any wipes or deaths that you might have caused.
3. You are also encouraged to bring suggestions and ideas to the leadership team, via whispers or role channels.
4. If you are sitting, you should be outside of the instance in case you are needed for the entire duration of the raid and continue to listen on Discord actively for any changes we might make to our strats. We also encourage you to watch one of our many streamers in the guild so that you can see our progression and any changes directly. You are expected to be familiar with any strategy changes throughout the night, and to be capable of swapping in at any time that we might need you.
5. When rolling on loot, please ensure notes are accurate and include any pertinent information, including % upgrade, relevant bosses you would use the item on, whether it is BiS or just an upgrade, etc.
6. Ensure you have jokes ready, dad joke, bad jokes, and puns all acceptable.

Between/After Raids
1. You should be doing post-raid analysis via logs, stream replays, research of class or strat changes, etc. A number of DJs leaders and players are available to assist with any log review.
2. You should also be paying attention to the forums for any additional changes we make to our strats, and continuing to ask questions or receive clarification for these updates or your roles as needed.
3. You are encouraged to bring suggestions and ideas to the leadership team regarding any strats or roles. We are always open to any new ideas!
4. Ensure that the loot spreadsheet and notes are also up to date, and you are grabbing any additional Weakauras or addons that we might require for specific encounters.
5. You should continue to maximize your character as best as possible through Azerite, M+, weekly expeditions, etc within reason. Be cognizant of where the majority other players on the team are with regards to iLvl and Azerite level and to work to maintain a similar level.
6. Lastly, find one thing you’d want to improve on for the next raid and see what you can do to work on this.

REQUIRED SOFTWARE: (MANDATORY)
If you do not have the required software, do not apply.

-Discord for necessary raid commands.
-Current version of a Boss Mod(DBM/Bigwigs/DXE/VEM)
-RCLootCouncil for distribution of gear.
-Weak Auras
-Exorsus Raid Tools

THE APPLICATION PROCESS

1. Fill out the application form here: https://forms.gle/w8guAWConqGwGQZ1A

2. You should expect a response via Btag or Discord in a couple of days. Either your application will be accepted, denied, or marked pending. Should you not receive a response, please whisper Sparty in game or Sparty#1780(Btag or Discord).

3. If we proceed with the application you will be contacted to do a Discord interview with a few of our officers/mentors. If your interview goes well, you will be invited to join the guild as an applicant. Unlike other guilds on this server, we have great pride in our guild tag and will not invite just anyone.

4. During this time period you will be expected to raid with us and you will be evaluated in every way. This period lasts a minimum of 10 raid days. You will be assigned a mentor to help ease you into our guild and raiding style. This person will help you learn the ropes of the guild and do their best to ensure you achieve the full Death Jester rank.

5. You should be actively looking for feedback from your mentor/officers. It is up to you to familiarize yourself with Warcraft logs and how you are doing compared to other players in the guild.

6. If we are satisfied with your performance, you will be trialed to the guild with the initiate rank. Otherwise your application will be terminated. The initate period lasts a minimum of one month to long as we deem necessary; when the trial ends you will be promoted to a full member or asked to leave.
